7Ryms iRay DW40 Wireless Microphone Kit [White]

The DW40 7ryms iRay wireless microphone set is a breakthrough in the audio/video industry. It is designed to work with digital cameras and camcorders with a 3.5 mm mini jack connector, desktop computers and laptops, as well as smartphones with a USB-C socket - both with devices with the Android operating system and with selected models of Apple phones (iPhone 15th generation). The DW40 is connected to the recording device using one of the included cables - in the box you will find two analog cables (3.5 mm mini jack TRS-TRS and TRS-TRRS), as well as a double-sided USB-C cable with an additional USB-A adapter.

7ryms iRay DW40 consists of a single receiver (RX) and as many as four transmitters (TX) equipped with built-in omnidirectional microphones. The devices communicate via 2.4 GHz radio waves at a distance of up to 100 meters (without terrain obstacles) with a latency not exceeding 20 ms.

The receiver is equipped with three types of ports. It has a 3.5 mm headphone connector (TRS/TRRS), allowing for ongoing monitoring, as well as ports connecting the DW40 with a recording device: a 3.5 mm TRS mini jack and USB type C. There are two buttons on the front of the receiver: one of them also acts as a switch and allows you to switch between mono and stereo modes, the other is used to pair the receiver with transmitters. There are also LEDs informing about the battery charge status and the current operating mode. With the help of a profiled clip, we can attach the receiver to the collar of a shirt or attach it to the camera foot.

Transmitters The DW40 offers active noise cancellation and the option to quickly mute a selected channel. They also allow four-step adjustment of the sensitivity of the microphones. Like the receiver, they are equipped with control LEDs. A set of four small magnets, which are an alternative to integrated clips, will allow you to attach them to less formal clothing. The box also includes four deadcat covers to protect the microphone diaphragms from gusts of wind.

The transmitters have built-in batteries with a capacity of 95 mAh, and the receiver's battery capacity is 230 mAh. The working time of DW40 is about 5 hours. Charging can be done in two ways - we can connect each element of the set separately via USB-C or we can use the included charging station, which also acts as a stiffened case. Equipped with a powerful 1400 mAh battery, this one will allow us to extend the operating time of the set to about 10 hours.
