What do we scan?

Photographs

Old family photographs, portraits, landscapes. We scan both black and white and color photographs in all qualities.

Documents

Important documents, certificates, diplomas, historical letters and manuscripts. We ensure high detail.

Artwork

Drawings, watercolors, pastels and other artwork up to A3 size. Accurate color reproduction.

What can a flatbed scanner scan?

With professional flatbed scanners we digitize virtually any flat, reflective original. We work with single photographs as well as whole photo albums, stacks of documents and artwork - adjusting the resolution and processing for each material.

Printed photographs

Family photographs, portraits, wedding and celebration images, black and white and color paper prints. We scan a single photo or entire collections while preserving the original detail and tones.

Documents and certificates

Diplomas, certificates, contracts, historical letters and manuscripts. High resolution ensures clearly legible text, while the PDF format is convenient for multi-page documents and archiving.

Photo albums and collections

Old photo albums, scrapbooks and cardboard mounts with glued-on images. We handle each page carefully and preserve the original order of the materials in the digitized copy.

Artwork

Drawings, watercolors, pastels, graphics and other artwork up to A3 size. Accurate color reproduction with 48-bit color depth preserves fine tonal transitions.

Flatbed scanning is suitable for originals from a small 9x13cm photograph up to an A3 format document or artwork.

Our flatbed scanning equipment

Epson V750 Pro

A fast flatbed scanner for photographs and smaller originals up to A4 size. It provides a real resolution of up to 2400 dpi and 48-bit color depth, and with the TMA adapter it can also scan transparent materials and sheet films up to 20x25cm. Ideal for quick previews and small originals.

Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL Plus

An A3 format flatbed scanner for large originals with 1600 dpi optical resolution and 3.7 Dmax, providing a good tonal range. The LED light source is not dependent on lamp warm-up and gives uniform illumination across the entire scanning area, while the stable construction is suited to large artwork and documents.

When is photo scanning useful?

Archiving

A digital copy protects valuable photographs from fading, moisture and physical damage. High-quality TIFF files are suitable for long-term storage and for passing on to future generations.

Restoration

Before old or damaged photographs can be digitally restored, they must be scanned at high resolution. Scanning is the first step toward color correction, removal of cracks and scratches, and contrast recovery.

Sharing

Digitized photographs are easy to send to family, upload to cloud storage or use in photo books. Smaller JPEG files are convenient for email and social networks.

How does the scanning process work?

Our workflow is simple and transparent - from receiving the originals to delivering the finished files.

1. Assessing the originals

When we receive the originals, we assess their condition, size and intended use so we can recommend the most suitable resolution and scanner.

2. Scanning

We scan with the Epson V750 Pro or Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL Plus depending on the size of the original and the required quality, handling the materials carefully.

3. Processing and delivery

By agreement we perform color correction and cleanup, then deliver the files via USB, server, disc or cloud service. The standard processing time is 1-3 business days.
