Panorama and 360 heads rotate the camera around the lens's optical centre and in even steps, so the frames can be stitched into a panorama without errors. This category includes panoramic heads, indexing rotators and motorised heads from Manfrotto, Sunwayfoto, Leofoto, Syrp and Joby.

Manual panorama heads and rotators suit landscape, interior and virtual tour (VR, QTVR) photography. Motorised heads such as the Syrp Genie Mini II rotate a camera or phone automatically, making them well suited to timelapse video and smooth panning shots.
