Thermometers

The Thermometers category offers darkroom thermometers for monitoring chemical temperature: glass, polymer and spirit thermometers, floating thermometers, models for developing tanks and trays, and digital thermometers. The range includes Kaiser, Paterson and Ars-Imago models.

Accurate temperature is essential for consistent results, as development time depends on it. Black-and-white film is usually processed at around 20 °C, while colour processes need a higher temperature and greater precision. Digital thermometers give a quick reading, glass thermometers need no batteries, and a floating thermometer can stay in the tray throughout processing.
