Comica CVM-SPX 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Microphone Adapter [Smartphone]

The product is covered by a 3-year warranty.

A versatile and practical COMICA CVM-SPX adapter that converts a 3-pin 3.5 mm TRS mini jack port into a 4-pin 3.5 mm TRRS mini jack plug, used, m.in. in smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers with a combined headphone/microphone port. The adapter transfers power between devices and can be used with all types of microphones – including those that do not have their own battery.

The adapter allows you to connect many different models of microphones to your phone, designed to work with cameras and video camcorders with a 3.5 mm mini jack port. The 3.5 mm connector present in professional photo and video equipment is different than the one used in smartphones or mobile devices, so directly plugging the microphone into the phone does not allow proper operation and sound recording. The COMICA brand adapter overcomes this problem by "adding" the missing pin on the plug and turning the TRS port into a TRRS.

REMARK! For the adapter to work properly, it is necessary to fully cover the pins, which may be routed differently in different models of equipment (especially older generation and in some laptops). A distinction is made between OMTP (left/right/mic/ground) and CTIA (left/right/ground/mic). In modern audio equipment, the CTIA standard prevails.
