Walimex pro UV-Filter Slim Super DMC 49mm

Protection against UV light and contamination

UV filters are effective filters that block ultraviolet light (a natural component of sunlight) and thus contribute to better image results. Especially in outdoor photography, colours are rendered more vividly and clearly. Distant subjects such as mountains are not lost in haze to the same extent as without UV filters. In addition, UV filters reliably protect your lens from dust, splashing water and scratches on the front lens. A UV filter can be left on the lens all year round and is easy to clean.

Outstanding quality and construction

The UV filter has excellent optical properties. The top-quality, polished filter glass has 16 coating layers (DMC - especially for digital cameras). It does not reduce your lens performance: 99% of the incoming light still reaches the lens. With a height of only about 2.5 mm, the filter is extremely thin, light and compact. The glass sits in a precisely made metal frame. Thanks to the knurled mount, the filter is especially easy to grip and remove when needed. The included storage case protects it from damage during transport.

Nano coating for better photos

Two nano coating layers provide a clear view: dust can hardly find a place to settle on the filter, and water and oil simply run off. Unlike uncoated glass, drops do not run down the filter glass like on a windscreen and need to be wiped off, but stay in a semicircular shape and roll off on their own.
