The 90 x 120 cm elliptical aperture provides a spacious light-modifying surface. At the same time, it is convenient to transport – when folded "into an eight", it reduces its diameter almost three times and fits into the included cover with a zipper. The aperture consists of an internal frame that can be used as a diffuser, and an overlayable, interchangeable jacket that combines three reflective surfaces – white, silver and gold – as well as black to cut off unwanted light rays.

The MITOYA is made of high-quality materials. The sturdy construction ensures that the material will be properly taut at all times, even after repeated folding and unfolding. The comfort of using the shutter is increased by two profiled handles, and thanks to additional 3/8" threaded holes, the shutter can also be mounted on a tripod.

Light modifiers:

• Frame – diffuser: placed between the lamp and the photographed object, it will allow you to obtain soft, natural lighting.
• White surface: will provide soft and subtle filling lighting without affecting its color.
• Silver surface: it will allow you to obtain more strongly reflected and more contrasting light without changing its color.
• Gold surface: the reflected light is contrasting and strong, and additionally insulated.
• Black surface: light-absorbing screen – makes it easy to cut off unwanted reflections and limit the light reaching the object from another side.

Application

Apertures are one of the most popular and easiest to use light modifiers. The oval 5-in-1 model will allow you to illuminate large frames, thanks to which I will be great for portrait or fashion photography. With the help of a 5-in-1 aperture, we can not only reflect light, but also scatter it or cut off unwanted excess.
