K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/8 82mm Diffusion Filter

The K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/8 is a high-quality diffusion filter made of hardened optical glass. Its lens is covered with anti-reflective and protective nano-coatings, guaranteeing high light transmission, faithful color reproduction and the highest quality image, free of accidental light flashes. The filter diameter is 82 mm.

Using mist filters allows you to subtly soften the sharp, digital image from your camera or video camera, giving it a more organic, analogue character. Diffusion filters are most often used by filmmakers from the film industry - additional diffusion allows the use of advanced equipment and achieves a soft, cinematic image with a large dynamic range and smooth transitions between its bright and dark parts. The Black Mist filter reduces the contrast of the scene and creates a soft glow around light sources. It also has a small effect on the exposure, allowing 87% of light to pass through, which in some cases must be corrected by changing the ISO value, aperture or shutter speed. The subtle softening of 1 /8 makes the final effect very delicate, so filters of this power can also be used in the photo studio, e.g. during portrait sessions.
