K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/8 72mm Diffusion Filter

The K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/8 is a 72 mm diameter diffusion filter made of hardened optical glass with a high light transmission rate. The glass lens has been additionally covered with anti-reflective and protective nano-coatings. It guarantees the highest quality image, free of accidental reflections or unsightly dye.

The use of mist filters slightly softens the digital image and thus gives it a more organic, natural character. Diffusion filters are the most popular in the film industry – they allow you to use advanced photo and video equipment while capturing images with a large dynamic range and smooth transitions between light and dark parts. The Black Mist filter slightly reduces the contrast of the scene and creates a soft glow around the light sources. It also has a small effect on the exposure, allowing 87% of light to pass through, which in some cases must be corrected by changing the ISO value, aperture or shutter speed. The subtle softening of 1 /8 makes the final effect very delicate, so filters of this power can also be used in the photo studio, e.g. during portrait sessions.
