K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/4 49mm Diffusion Filter

K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/4 diffusion filter with a diameter of 49 mm. It is made of hardened optical glass covered with numerous anti-reflective nano-coatings, thanks to which it provides the highest quality image, free of unwanted glitches, reflections or unsightly dye.

The task of a diffusion filter is to give the shot a more organic character. Modern cameras and camcorders generate an image that may seem too artificial, sharp and digital to many viewers. A diffusion filter slightly reduces the contrast of the scene and creates a soft glow around light sources. As a result, the dynamic range becomes larger, and the transitions between dark and light parts of the image are smoother. The Black Mist filter has a slight effect on the exposure of the scene, allowing 84% of the light to pass through, which should be corrected by shutter speed, aperture or higher ISO. Softening the image at the level of 1/4 allows you to obtain a vivid image, especially when working on a film set with many sources of artificial light.

The distinguishing feature of the Nano-X series are numerous coatings that improve the quality of the recorded image. They provide protection against unwanted glare, water or greasy stains.
