K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/2 55mm Diffusion Filter

Black Mist 1/2 The K&F Concept Nano-X is a diffusion filter made of high-quality optical glass. It has numerous anti-reflective and protective nano-coatings , thanks to which the recorded image is free of reflections and tint, and the lens itself becomes resistant to accidental damage. The filter diameter is 55 mm.

A diffusion filter allows you to achieve the effect of an image that is less digital and more organic, characteristic of photos taken with a simple analog camera. Modern photo and video equipment captures images of such high quality that it may be too artificial and sharp for many viewers. A mist filter reduces the contrast of a scene and creates a soft glow around light sources. The dynamic range becomes larger, and the transitions between dark and light parts of the image are smoother. Black Mist 1/2 also affects the exposure of the scene by letting 79% of the light through, which should be corrected by shutter speed, aperture value or choosing a higher ISO. Softening the image at the level of 1/2 allows you to obtain a vivid image, especially when working on a film set with many sources of artificial light.

A characteristic feature of the Nano-X series filters are numerous coatings that improve the quality of the recorded image. They provide protection against unwanted glare, water or greasy stains. There are no stains on the lenses, and fingerprints or other impurities are very easy to remove. Hardened optical glass is resistant to scratches, cracks or chips. Nano-X also offers filters with thin rings. Their aluminium and electroplated frame is only 3.3 mm wide and allows you to work with wide-angle lenses without worrying about a vignette, while its fine grooves make it easy to wind and protect against jamming.
