K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/1 67mm Diffusion Filter

K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/1 diffusion filter with a diameter of 67 mm. Made of multi-layer and hardened optical glass, covered with special protective and anti-reflective nano-coatings . It provides a high-quality, reflection-free image and does not affect the original colour of the shot.

Black Mist filters are designed to give the photographed or filmed scene a less digital character, and more organic and analogue. They reduce the contrast of the scene and create a soft glow around light sources. The tonal range of the image becomes larger, and the transitions between dark and light parts – smoother. The Black Mist 1/1 filter also has a slight effect on exposure, allowing 74% of light to pass through, which should be corrected by changing the aperture, shutter speed or ISO sensitivity.

The filter lenses of the Nano-X series have numerous coatings that have a positive effect on image quality. They provide protection against unwanted glare, water or greasy stains. There are no stains on the lenses, and fingerprints or other impurities are very easy to remove. Hardened optical glass is resistant to scratches, cracks and chips. Nano-X also offers filters with thin rings. Their aluminium and electroplated frame is only 3.3 mm wide and allows you to work with wide-angle lenses without worrying about a vignette, while its fine grooves make it easy to wind and protect against jamming.

Use

Diffusion filters with an intense impact on the original image, such as Black Mist 1/1, are particularly popular with photographers and filmmakers working on film sets with intense and harsh artificial light, e.g. emitted by LED panel lamps. They are also used in independent and artistic productions, as well as in portrait photography, although for narrow, classic shots covering only the face or bust of the model, models with lower diffusion are more often used, e.g. 1/4 or 1/8 – also available in our offer.
