Description

Photography comes first
The X-T1 was first released in 2014 to mark Fujifilm's 80th anniversary. It became a leader of the mirrorless camera revolution. Almost ten years and five generations later, Fujifilm's latest imaging technology has arrived in the X-T5, giving photographers unrivalled image quality in a timeless, much-loved camera body.

X-Trans CMOS 5 HR
The high-resolution 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor has an improved image processing algorithm that increases resolution without compromising signal-to-noise ratio, delivering stunning image quality.

X-Processor 5
  • Twice the processing speed of the X-Processor 4
  • AI processing technology
  • Next-generation HEIF image file format
  • Reduced power consumption

Three top-panel dials
Three dials control ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation from the top panel of the camera. Together with the aperture ring on most XF lenses, all exposure settings can be checked and adjusted before the camera is switched on. Create with confidence and focus on composing the image.

Lightweight, high performance
The X-T5 has a five-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) system that provides up to 7.0 stops of compensation, and a 3.69-million-dot EVF with 0.8x magnification. Even so, the camera body weighs only 557g. The dials and buttons make it easy to use, allowing life's most precious moments to be captured so they can be seen again.

Three-way tilting LCD
The three-way tilting LCD offers improved versatility, especially when working at waist level or in portrait orientation. The combination of the tilting LCD and the centrally placed viewfinder puts the lens, camera and photographer on the optical axis, giving a more comfortable and intuitive image-making experience.

Film Simulation
The 19 Film Simulation modes inside the X-T5 digitally recreate the look of classic photographic films developed by Fujifilm over more than 85 years. Reproduce the classic colours and tones Fujifilm is known for, or add an artistic touch and start building your own legacy.

White balance
Auto white balance (AWB) can be fine-tuned by choosing one of three modes: Auto, White Priority and Ambience Priority. With White Priority, white is more likely to be rendered as white under incandescent lighting. With Ambience Priority, however, scenes are captured while preserving the natural lighting characteristics of the scene. Under incandescent lighting this usually results in images with warmer white tones.

AI-driven AWB
New deep-learning AI technology optimises the auto white balance performance of the X-T5 by accurately identifying warm, orange-tinted colours, helping to ensure the accuracy of the camera's auto white balance.

Subject detection autofocus
The X-Processor 5 offers subject detection AF built using deep-learning AI technology. In addition to incredible AF tracking and detection of human faces and eyes, the X-T5 can now also automatically detect and track a wide range of subjects, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, aeroplanes and trains. This lets photographers concentrate on composition and creativity, confident that the X-T5 will track focus accurately.

Updated AF algorithm
The X-T5's higher pixel count increases the number of phase-detection pixels, which improves AF-S focusing accuracy on subjects including landscapes and portraits. The camera also includes an improved AF prediction algorithm, newly developed for the X-H2S, giving stable focusing even when AF-C is used.

160MP Pixel Shift Multi-Shot
The X-T5 offers Pixel Shift Multi-Shot, which with Pixel Shift Combiner software can create a single ultra-high-resolution 160MP image with one press of the shutter button.

Using the in-body image stabilisation to move the sensor by half a pixel between each frame, the X-T5 captures exactly 20 frames to ensure that every red, green and blue pixel has equal information. The result is a final image with almost invisible false colours.

1/180 000 sec shutter speed
The X-T5 has a maximum electronic shutter speed of 1/180 000, which is approximately 2.5 stops faster than other X Series cameras. Use it with wide apertures in extremely bright conditions for more creative options, or to freeze the action at the perfect moment.

ISO 125 standard sensitivity
The X-Trans CMOS 5 HR has a more light-efficient pixel structure. ISO 125, previously an extended sensitivity, is now available natively.

HEIF image format support
The X-T5 supports the HEIF image format, which delivers 10-bit image quality in files up to 30% smaller than standard JPEG. The next chapter in delivering high-quality results straight from the camera has officially begun for the X Series.

Increased battery life
Thanks to the X-Processor 5's reduced power consumption, battery life for still images is significantly increased from approximately 600 to 740 frames compared with the X-T4.

Highly reliable, weather-resistant body
The X-T5 has 56 weather-sealed points for high dust and moisture resistance. It can also operate at temperatures down to -10°C.

6.2K/30p 4:2:2 10-bit
6.2K movies can be recorded internally at 30p 4:2:2 10-bit colour, delivering high-resolution video footage with rich colour detail.

F-Log2 support
In addition to F-Log, the X-T5 also supports F-Log2, which records an extended dynamic range of 13+ stops. This range is wider than the current F-Log, expanding post-production potential.

RAW output via HDMI
When combined with an ATOMOS HDMI device, RAW video output from the X-T5 can be recorded as 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW at resolutions up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97 frames per second. When combined with the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12G, RAW video output from the camera can be recorded as Blackmagic RAW at resolutions up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97 frames per second.

Dual SD card slots
The X-T5 has two SD card slots, both UHS-II compatible.
