K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/8 62mm Diffusion Filter

The K&F Concept Black Mist 1/8 Nano-X diffusion filter with a diameter of 62 mm is made of high-quality hardened optical glass. It is characterized by high light transmission and is covered with numerous anti-reflective nano-coatings . It guarantees the highest quality image, free of accidental reflections or unsightly dye.

The function of the diffusion filter is to subtly soften the digital image in order to give it a more organic, natural character. This is particularly appreciated in the film industry, because it allows you to use advanced photo-video equipment and obtain vivid shots with a large dynamic range and smooth transitions between light and dark parts of the frame. The Black Mist filter gently reduces the contrast of the photo and creates a soft glow around light sources. It also has a slight effect on the exposure, allowing 87% of light to pass through, which - depending on the conditions and the expected effect - in some situations should be corrected by changing the ISO value, aperture or exposure time. The subtle softening of 1 /8 makes the final effect very delicate, so filters with such parameters can also be used in a photo studio, e.g. when taking portrait photos.
