K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/8 49mm Diffusion Filter

Black Mist 1/8 diffusion filter with a diameter of 49 mm Nano-X by K&F Concept. It is made of high-quality optical glass, covered with numerous anti-reflective and reinforcing nano-coatings, thanks to which it provides the highest quality image, free of unwanted light reflections or unsightly dye.

The function of the diffusion filter is to give the shot a more organic, analogue character. Cameras and video cameras available on the market record images of such high quality that for many recipients it may seem even artificial. A mist filter gently reduces the contrast of the scene and creates a soft glow around light sources. When shot onto the lens, it increases the dynamic range of the image, and the transitions between bright and dark areas become smoother. It also has a slight effect on exposure, allowing 87% of light to pass through, which in some situations must be corrected by shutter speed, aperture or ISO. Softening at the level of 1/8 makes the effect very subtle and natural, so a filter with such parameters can be used not only on a film set, but also in portrait photography.

The Nano-X series is a photographic accessory with numerous anti-reflective and protective coatings. The filter effectively reduces the formation of light glimmer, increasing the clarity of the shot. The optical glass from which it is made is also characterized by increased resistance to mechanical damage and dirt - there are no scratches or chips on it, and fingerprints or other stains are very easy to remove. Nano-X also offers filters with thin rings. Their aluminium and electroplated frame is only 3.3 mm wide and allows you to work with wide-angle lenses without worrying about an unsightly vignette, while its profiling protects against jamming, making it easy to install and disassemble.

Use

Mist diffusion filters are available in various variants, but the most common diffusion is at the level of 1/4 or 1/8.
