K&F Concept Nano-X Black Mist 1/4 62mm Diffusion Filter

Professional Black Mist 1/4 K&F Concept Nano-X diffusion filter with a diameter of 62 mm. It is made of hardened optical glass covered with multiple anti-reflective nano-coatings , which ensures the highest image quality, free of light reflections or unsightly tint.

Diffusion filters allow for attractive and subtle blurring of the image, giving it a more organic, analogue feel. Modern cameras and video camcorders record images so sharp and full of details that for many viewers it can be even artificial. The mist filter slightly reduces the contrast of the scene and creates a soft glow around light sources. The tonal range of the image becomes larger, and the transitions between the dark and light parts of the image are smoother. The Black Mist filter also has a slight effect on exposure, allowing 84% of light to pass through, which in some situations needs to be corrected by a slower shutter speed, a lower aperture or a higher ISO. Softening the image at 1/4 level will compensate for this loss, allowing for a vivid, natural and more analogue image, which is especially beneficial when working with many artificial light sources - e.g. LED panel lamps, which are characterized by harsh light.

Nano-X series filters are characterized by special nano-coatings that increase their durability and effectively reduce the formation of reflections. They provide protection against unwanted glare and also protect the lens from water or greasy stains. There are no stains on the surface of the filters, and fingerprints or other impurities are very easy to remove. Hardened optical glass is resistant to scratches, cracks or chips. Nano-X also offers filters with thin rings. Their aluminum and electroplated frame is only 3.3 mm wide and allows you to work with wide-angle lenses without fear of creating an unsightly vignette, and its profiling protects against jamming.
