Description

The Hoya Sparkle x6 55mm is an effect filter that adds six-point star bursts to light sources in the frame. It suits night and evening photography, including astrophotography and landscapes after dark.

  • Filter type: effect (star) filter, six-point stars
  • Filter thread: 55 mm
  • Rotating construction lets you adjust the shape of the star bursts
  • In daylight it gives a slightly softened, dreamy look; the effect is stronger with longer focal lengths
  • High-quality optical glass with multiple protective and anti-reflection coatings
  • Slim black aluminium frame reduces unwanted reflections and avoids vignetting, even with wide-angle lenses
  • A low aperture value is recommended to emphasise light in the image
