Compact body
The X-S20 features a large, easy-to-hold grip, a signature of the X-S series, as well as a large NP-W235 battery and a 5-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) system that provides up to 7.0 stops of compensation. Despite this, the camera body weighs only 491 g.

Back-illuminated 26.1 MP X-Trans CMOS 4
The X-S20 is equipped with a back-illuminated “X-Trans CMOS 4” sensor. With a resolution of 26.1 MP, the X-S20 can document your most extreme adventures and everyday moments, with a unique filter array that controls moire and false colours to give you images that help you share your true creative vision. The back-illuminated design helps improve image quality while reducing noise.

Film Simulation
The 19 Film Simulation modes inside the X-S20 recreate the look of classic analogue photographic film stocks, which Fujifilm has developed over more than 85 years. Reproduce the classic colours and tones Fujifilm is known for, or add an artistic flavour that helps shape your legacy.

Large battery in a compact body
The X-S20 won't stop working in the middle of your next adventure; battery capacity has more than doubled, from 325 to 750 frames compared with the X-S10. Need a battery that lasts all day? Switch on the X-S20's economy mode and extend battery life to 800 frames.

Subject detection autofocus
The X-Processor 5 offers subject detection AF built with deep learning AI technology. In addition to incredible AF tracking and human face and eye detection, the X-S20 can now also automatically detect and track a wide range of subjects, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects and drones.* This lets photographers concentrate on composition and creativity, knowing the X-S20 is tracking focus accurately.

Updated AF algorithm
The X-S20 includes an improved autofocus prediction algorithm, providing stable focusing even when shooting continuously moving subjects. The autofocus improvements are most noticeable in Zone AF and in difficult low-contrast situations.

IBIS 7.0 stops
The X-S20 makes it easy to shoot handheld even in the dark, ideal for those midnight moments of inspiration. With a 5-axis in-body image stabilisation system, the X-S20 offers up to seven stops of image stabilisation for steady images and video.

New modes

• AUTO mode: The new AUTO mode lets the camera automatically recognise and set the most suitable shooting settings for the scene, with a new automatic subject detection function. When AUTO is selected on the mode dial, the camera automatically detects the subject and tracks it while keeping focus. This removes the need to adjust subject detection settings, making shooting even easier.
• Vlog mode: Ready to create the perfect moment? Set the X-S20's mode dial to the new Vlog position, and you can easily change camera settings using the touchscreen while making video.
• Product Priority mode: Filming a product video or unboxing? With Product Priority mode enabled, focus shifts naturally from your face to the object in front of you - it is like having a built-in assistant.
• Background Blur mode: Don't worry about the technical details. Enable Background Blur mode to blur the background naturally. Get a cinematic look with just a touch of your finger.

FUJIFILM XApp support
The X-S20 works with the new “FUJIFILM XApp”, which extends support for your photography. Images from the camera can be transferred wirelessly and viewed on a smartphone, and the X-S20 can be controlled remotely from the app.

6.2K/30p 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording
The X-S20 delivers enhanced video performance in a compact, lightweight body, allowing you to create impressive movies up to 6.2K internally at 30 fps in 4:2:2 10-bit colour. Combine this with 4K/60 fps video and 1080/240 fps high-speed video - you are the director.

Webcam support
Using the X-S20 as a webcam could not be simpler. Just connect the X-S20 to your computer with a USB Type-C cable and you are set! You can also control shooting settings such as aperture or Film Simulation.

RAW output via HDMI
Shoot like a pro by pairing the X-S20 with an ATOMOS HDMI monitor-recorder to record RAW video output as 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW at resolutions up to 6.2K, 29.97 fps. When combined with the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12G, the camera's RAW video output can be recorded as Blackmagic RAW at resolutions up to 6.2K, 29.97 fps.

3.5 mm microphone and headphone jacks
Don't forget about audio; the X-S20 has two 3.5 mm jacks so you can record audio with an external microphone and monitor with headphones. Despite its compact, lightweight body, the X-S20 is highly expandable with external devices to lift your creativity.
