It is a premium black-and-white variable-contrast photo paper coated on a 255 g/m2 fibre base.

MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE has a warm white base tone, and images made on this paper have warm, deep blacks and outstanding creamy mid-tones. This produces wonderfully rich images. For many years this product has been a leader and has long been regarded as the first choice of creative photo printers.

It responds very well to toning, chemical reduction and retouching techniques. Simply put, this product delivers a final image quality that cannot be achieved in the darkroom with any other paper, which is why it is so widely used around the world for printing exhibition images.

In the darkroom you will find that the image development time of MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE is about 40 seconds. During processing it retains all the properties printers expect from an FB paper. It is suitable for use with all types of darkroom enlargers and works well with most safelights intended for black-and-white papers, with a cut-off no lower than 580 nm.

It is fully compatible with the ILFORD range of chemicals, as well as with the ILFORD optimal-permanence washing sequence. MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE provides seven full contrast grades from 00 to 5 in half-grade steps when used with ILFORD MULTIGRADE FILTERS. After washing and drying, it can be mounted using standard methods for fibre-base papers.
