Included in the kit

• 1 C41 developer, 260 ml
• 1 C41 bleach, 1 L
• 1 C41 fixer, 500 ml
• 1 C41 stabiliser, 100 ml

Preparation

• Developer (1+4): 260 ml + 740 ml water = 1 L
• Bleach (Stock): 1000 ml = 1 L ready to use
• Fixer (1+1): 500 ml + 500 ml water = 1 L
• Stabiliser (1+99): 10 ml + 990 ml water = 1 L

An alternative process that does not require excessive or very precise temperature control. Modern plastic developing tanks are quite good at maintaining temperature. Thermal shock usually occurs when a pre-heated solution comes into contact with film that is at ambient temperature in the tank. A pre-heating bath ensures that the film and tank are properly warmed to avoid temperature shock after the developer is poured in. In addition, although the temperature should be as stable as possible, a deviation of 2–3 °C still gives good results as long as the average temperature stays at 37.8–38 °C.

The kit contains all the chemicals needed to develop 12–20 135/36 films* using diluted solutions within no more than 5 weeks.

*If used within 7–10 days and stored in dark bottles, up to 20 films can be developed. For better efficiency, we recommend developing 2–4 films at a time.
