Wireless Remotes

Wireless remotes let you fire the camera shutter from a distance without a cable. This category includes infrared (IR), radio and Bluetooth remotes, including remotes for smartphones, from Fotocom, Phottix, Meike, Hähnel and NiSi, as well as the Aputure V-Remote.

An IR remote is simple and compact but needs a line of sight to the camera's sensor. Radio remotes with a receiver work over a longer range, and some models can also trigger flashes. When choosing, check compatibility with your camera or connection type, such as Canon RS-80N3, Nikon MC-DC1 or MC-30, or Sony RC-1000, as remotes are made for specific brands.
