The NiSi Black Mist 1/2 is a 72 mm filter that adds an extra dimension and character to pictures. Light sources get a pleasant diffusion while shadows keep their tone and blackness. The filter lowers contrast and softens wrinkles and skin blemishes, making it well suited to portraits. Black Mist filters come in three strengths, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8, with 1/2 giving the strongest effect.

  • Filter size: 72 mm, strength 1/2
  • Creates a soft, pastel-like quality of light
  • Extra layer of black specks
  • Little loss of detail compared to traditional diffusion filters
  • Brass frame that makes it easy to screw on and off the lens
