Marumi DHG 95 mm Circular polarizer

The Marumi DHG 95mm Circular PL (C-PL) is a circular polarizing filter with an anti-reflective coating and a blackened edge of the filter glass, which keeps stray reflections to a minimum. It is also suitable for wide-angle lenses and accepts the front lens cap.

A polarizing filter only transmits light vibrating in one plane, which suppresses polarized light reflected from shiny non-metallic surfaces. It is used to remove reflections and increase colour saturation, for example reflections from a water surface or shiny glass objects, or when photographing aquariums and display cases. The front part of a circular polarizing filter rotates to change its effect: the right setting is found by looking through the viewfinder or at the camera display before taking the picture.
