The ideal duo for macro photography: the set includes the Scout MAX tripod with a maximum height of 157 cm, plus a 31 cm long tripod extension arm from mantona. Thanks to the simple leg angle adjustment, the tripod can be quickly converted for macro shooting. The delivery already includes a ball head and a quick-release connection system. Everything is complemented by a matching tripod extension arm that tilts up to 180° and rotates by 90°, giving extra flexibility in finding the optimal camera position.

Tripod extension arm

The mantona tripod extension arm is ideal for shots with the camera positioned off the tripod axis, for example from above. It is also excellently suited to macro and nature photography. The arm can rotate from 0 to 90 degrees at the joint and tilt from -5 to 180 degrees. This offers great flexibility in finding the right camera position. The tripod plate on which the camera is mounted can rotate by 360 degrees. The joint is very smooth, allowing gentle and precise adjustment. At the same time, the locking mechanism provides good stability. In this way it can withstand a higher load, and accidental lowering of the arm is prevented. The arm is therefore well suited to larger and heavier cameras of up to approx. 8 kg. The built-in spirit level allows very precise alignment.

The extremely durable tripod extension arm is made of high-quality aluminium, which reduces wear. On the arm there are two 3/8 inch tripod connection threads and one 1/4 inch camera connection screw.

The tripod legs can be extended quickly and in stages thanks to sturdy clamps. The fasteners can be adjusted to run smoothly or firmly, to suit individual requirements, using the supplied hex key. The simple leg angle adjustment provides additional stability. In this way the tripod is ready for macro shots in an instant. The rubberised tripod feet ensure a secure stance on a variety of surfaces.

For working at a low level, the mantona Scout MAX offers a particularly convenient option in addition to the leg angle adjustment: the centre column can be removed completely and reinstalled on the tripod with the ball head facing down. A photographer's creativity is not restricted with this high-quality tripod.

The tripod is supplied together with a ball head and a quick-release system. The camera plate is standardised and can be used with all common tripods. The ball head allows a quick response to changing light conditions. It can easily be turned in all directions. The quick-release plate is rubberised and therefore attaches reliably to the camera. An additional safety mechanism prevents the plate from detaching from the camera. With this set, beginners and experienced users who value quality are well equipped.
