NiSi Square Filter Explorer 150X170mm Reverse GND4 2Stops

The NiSi Explorer 150x170 mm reverse graduated neutral density filter (Reverse GND4, 0.6) reduces light by 2 stops. It is used to even out differences in brightness between the sky and the landscape in scenes where the light is most intense near the horizon and gradually diminishes towards the sky.

On a reverse GND the darkest part is located along the center of the filter. It is most commonly used for landscapes with no elements protruding above the horizon, such as a seascape towards an open ocean. Explorer filters are made of special B270 tempered glass that is twice as durable as typical glass filters, with an IR coating and a Nano coating that repels dirt, water and oil. The filters do not affect the coloration of the image.
