Description

The Pentax PF-85EDA is a compact and lightweight spotting scope with a large 85 mm objective lens, aimed at birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. The optical design uses ED glass elements to minimise chromatic aberration, all glass elements have a multi-layer coating to reduce reflections, and a phase coating is applied to the roof prism.

A dust-proof glass element in the eyepiece mount makes the scope airtight and waterproof, equivalent to JIS Class 7. The scope is filled with nitrogen gas to prevent fogging caused by sudden temperature changes. The eyepiece mount has a standard 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) sleeve that accepts a variety of eyepieces, including the XF series designed for Pentax spotting scopes and the XW series for astronomical observation.

  • Objective lens: 85 mm

  • Eyepiece mount: 31.7 mm (1.25 inch)
