K&F Concept ND8 55mm Graduated ND Filter

A graduated soft ND filter by K&F Concept Nano-X. ND8x (ND0.9) is equivalent to a reduction in light reaching the camera's photosensitive material by 3 f-stops, while the smooth transition between darkened and neutral areas makes the scene appear natural and correctly exposed. The filter diameter is 55 mm.

The filters of the Nano-X series are made of high-quality optical glass, which is polished on both sides and ground many times, as well as reinforced with numerous anti-reflective and protective nano-coatings . This makes the filter lenses extremely resistant to cracks and scratches, as well as the formation of water and oil stains. On the other hand, all loose dirt or dust particles can be easily removed from them. K&F Concept filters provide the highest image quality. They do not affect the contrast or color of the shot and faithfully reproduce natural, saturated colors.

The Nano-X graduated filters are constructed of two rings screwed on top of each other, allowing the user to easily maneuver the darkened area. Aluminium and electro-blackened frames are covered with numerous grooves to facilitate work in difficult weather conditions or with gloves. The relatively small thickness of the filters of 5.3 mm means that they can also be used by users of wide-angle lenses and full-frame cameras. They are also threaded on both sides, which allows the installation of a sun visor or cap.

Use

Graduated gray filters are a great tool when taking landscape photos. By influencing the exposure of only half of the frame, they allow you to capture more detail in parts that would be at risk of overexposure. They are most often used when photographing wide shots covering the sky or vast bodies of water. Soft filters are characterized by a smooth transition between the area covered by the reduction and the neutral area, thanks to which the final effect on the photo gives the impression of being natural. The K&F Concept Nano-X filter with an ND8x value is an excellent solution for almost any situation when we want to balance the overexposed area, e.g. by extracting the structure of clouds. At the same time, it remains color-neutral, thanks to which the colors captured by the camera are saturated and contrasting exactly as they are in real life.
