K&F Concept ND16 52mm Graduated ND Filter

K&F Concept Nano-X Soft Graduated grey graduated filter with a diameter of 52 mm. A soft and smooth transition between neutral and dark areas creates natural effects and balances exposure in areas that are at risk of overexposure. The optical density at the darkest point is ND16x (ND1.2), which corresponds to 4 aperture divisions.

The Nano-X series filters are made of high-quality Japanese optical glass with a very low reflectivity of 1.5%. The lenses are polished and ground multiple times to ensure the highest image quality, full of detail and free of accidental reflections. Special nano-coatings additionally protect the glass surface against scratches and chips, and also have a hydrophobic function. As a result, no streaks of water or oil remain on the filter, and all dirt is easy to remove. In addition to excellent image quality, K&F Concept's filters do not affect the contrast or color of the scene and faithfully reproduce natural, saturated colors.

The gray graduated filters consist of two rings screwed on top of each other, so that the user can easily maneuver the darkened area. Their aluminum and electro-blackened frames are covered with numerous grooves to facilitate work in difficult weather conditions or when using gloves. The relatively low thickness of the filters of 5.3 mm means that they can also be used with wide-angle lenses, zooms and full-frame cameras. They are also threaded on both sides, which allows the installation of a sun visor or cap.

Use

Gray graduated filters are one of the most popular photographic accessories, used both during photo sessions and on the film set. To get the correct exposure of a scene, you often only need to darken part of the frame. Soft-graduated filters have a smooth transition between the reduced and neutral areas, so the final effect in the photo feels natural. At the same time, they remain neutral in color, thanks to which the colors captured by the camera are saturated and contrasting exactly as they are in real life.
