The JJC F-BD Black Diffusion Filter range is specially designed for digital cinematography and video recording. These filters reduce the brightness of highlights while softening overall contrast. They create a subtly subdued pearlescent halo around highlights, similar to footage shot with high-quality vintage lenses.
The filters are ideal for softening unwanted blemishes, wrinkles or other details on a subject's face while keeping the overall image sharp to enhance the subject's appearance and produce the desired effect.
Made from professional AGC HD optical glass with 28-layer coatings, the filters are anti-reflective. They effectively reduce reflections from both the surroundings and the filter itself, with ultra-low reflectivity of less than 0.5%. They are water-resistant, scratch-resistant, fingerprint-resistant, antistatic and oil-resistant. The aircraft-grade aluminium alloy filter frame is just 0.14"/3.5 mm thick, durable and lightweight. It is slim enough to prevent vignetting with both wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
The JJC F-BD Series Black Diffusion Filters are available in two densities: 1/2 and 1/4. The 1/2 density produces a moderate effect, while the 1/4 density produces a subtler effect.
The package includes a moisture-resistant filter case to better protect the filter when not in use.
