1-inch sensor + 32mm prime lens
For the first time in the X Series, the X half is equipped with a 1-inch sensor. The 32mm (35mm equivalent) focal length - identical to QuickSnap disposable cameras - delivers high-resolution images with a distinctive look and feel.

Focusing - fast and intuitive
The X half's autofocus is fast, responsive and unobtrusive. Prefer manual control? The focus ring lets you fine-tune your images. Face and eye detection also help ensure sharp pictures in every portrait.

Film Camera mode

Frame the world through the optical viewfinder, pull the lever to advance to the next frame, and explore the analogue creative experience. The X half's Film Camera mode brings back the joy of film photography in the digital age.

Activating Film Camera mode
On the sub-screen, select the Film Simulation of your choice, then swipe down and select Film Camera mode. Choose the number of frames - 36, 54 or 72 - and begin your creative journey.

Shooting only through the viewfinder
In Film Camera mode, the live view on the rear LCD is disabled - you can shoot only through the viewfinder. Do not forget to move the lever after each shot so you are ready for the next image. These small limitations encourage a creative spirit.

Developing images
Once you have finished a roll of film, it is time to develop the images. Transfer the roll to the X half app, where digital developing begins. Your images will be processed and saved to your smartphone and the app gallery - the waiting is part of the magic.

Digital contact sheet
A digital contact sheet of the whole roll is saved alongside your images, letting you relive the story you captured. There is no single right photo - every frame, even the imperfect ones, becomes an essential part of the story.

Seamless printing with the instax™ Link series
Connect the X half to an instax™ Link series printer for direct instant printing - digital moments brought to life in analogue form. Supported models: instax mini Link 2™, instax mini Link 3™, instax SQUARE Link™, instax Link WIDE™.
