It uses a Floating Focus system, dividing the focusing lens group into a "Front Focus Group" and a "Rear Focus Group" and driving them with high precision depending on the shooting distance. This system delivers high resolution in macro shots, where aberrations become more noticeable.

OIS that suppresses camera shake. The lens uses an optical image stabilization system to suppress camera shake, which can have a significant effect in macro shooting. Angular shake and shift shake are suppressed with high precision using a gyro sensor and an acceleration sensor, achieving 5 stops of image stabilization.

Weather and dust resistance. The lens has 11 weather and dust resistant seals, allowing confident shooting in harsh outdoor conditions.
