Caruba ET 74 lens hood, white

The Caruba ET 74 is a white lens hood compatible with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L IS USM and Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L USM lenses. It blocks light entering from the side to reduce flare and colour casts.

The hood extends beyond the front element, intercepting light from outside the frame that can cause haze or coloured patches through internal reflections. The projecting rim helps protect the front element against knocks and rain, keeping the first drops off the glass. Its white colour matches Canon's white telephoto lenses and reflects more sunlight than black, helping the hood stay cooler in full sun.
