Yongnuo YN14EX II ring light for Sony
Description
The Yongnuo YN14EX II is a second-generation ring flash for Sony cameras, designed for macro photography and also suitable for portraits. It supports manual (M) and automatic TTL operation. The ring has two independently controlled flash tubes and two continuous-light LEDs to assist focusing.
The flash tubes can be controlled together or separately, with each half adjustable from 1/128 to 1/1 power. Controls include flash exposure compensation, flash bracketing, flash power ratio adjustment and second-curtain synchronisation. The ring shape creates reflections in a portrait subject's eyes, while the magnetic diffusers modify the light's character and colour temperature.
- Approximate recycling time: 3 seconds.
- Control unit connected to the flash ring by a flexible 40-70cm cable.
- Ring attaches to the lens filter thread using the included adapters.
- Powered by 4 AA batteries, with a socket for an additional external power supply.
- PC sync port for triggering the flash by cable.
- 1/4" tripod mount.
- Includes a carrying case, 4 magnetic diffusers and 7 lens mounting adapters for filter thread diameters of 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm and 72mm.
