The MITOYA LANTERN spherical studio softbox is a unique light modifier that allows you to achieve even, soft and natural lighting for wide photo and film sets. The unique shape of the canopy, reminiscent of a ceiling lantern, allows the light beam to be scattered at an angle of up to 270°, which allows to minimize the number of lamps on the set. The diameter of the canopy is 85 cm, and its depth is 70 cm - with these dimensions, LANTERN will easily diffuse the light of the lamp even on a large studio area or in an open area.

The umbrella design of the softbox for quick unfolding is based on a frame running through its center and twelve flexible fiberglass wires. They are covered with a layer of non-slip material, effectively tension the canopy and do not slip on the diffusion material. The softbox retains its shape when changing the position of the lamp, dismantling it from its burner or moving it, which makes work much easier and more efficient. The diffusion material itself has reinforcement in the central, front part, which effectively protects against abrasion due to repeated unfolding and folding. High-quality durable materials guarantee long and efficient operation.

MITOYA LANTERN has an integrated BOWENS system adapter, which allows it to be combined with many types of studio flashes or LED constant light lamps. The set also includes a Velcro-mounted coat, which acts as a screen limiting the spread of light. Matte black on the outside and silver on the inside not only allows you to precisely direct the light beam, but also to further enhance it. It is particularly useful in situations where the softbox is placed centrally above the object to be illuminated.

Application

MITOYA LANTERN is a studio spherical softbox with a BOWENS mount, created for work on advanced sets, in arranged rooms and outdoors. Its spherical shape provides the perfect diffused, soft light. The possibility of directing it using the included coat means that the lantern can also be used as stage lighting directly from above. It can be hung on a boom boom or a C-Stand tripod arm. The highest quality materials, simple and quick installation and versatility of use make the lighting obtained during its use perfectly soft, delicate and natural.
