A lens for the highest demands. The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 continues the popular Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 lens and is designed to meet the highest expectations of manual photography enthusiasts.

Focus Lock and De-Click. With Focus Lock, even long exposures and time-lapse shots become child's play: a separate ring lets you lock the chosen focus. This means you can handle the camera without losing or accidentally changing the focus you set. The feature is especially useful for astrophotography (astro landscape and wide-angle shots). Extra-long exposures, often taken several in a row for later stacking, need a reliably set focus. The feature is equally useful for time-lapse photography, where the camera is sometimes focused on the same subject for a day or two. The De-Click function removes the click stops of the aperture steps. The aperture can then be adjusted smoothly, which allows precise, fine adjustment and is also very useful for filming. Simply turn the lens's silver ring to "Click" or "Free", as needed.

Impressive aperture, attractive design and weather sealing. The aperture in this 2nd-generation lens has nine rounded blades instead of six, which makes it easier to create round highlights in the bokeh. The star rays that form when the aperture is only slightly open and the light source is in focus are now 18 instead of 12. The exterior of the lens has also been revised. The controls are non-slip and dirt-resistant thanks to their shape. The lens now also has weather sealing around the mount, which protects the inside from moisture and raindrops. This does not make it waterproof, but it can be used safely even in rain or snow flurries.

Unique perspectives. With an impressive angle of view of 115.7° on full frame and 93.9° on APS-C, this lens makes landscape photography as natural as interior photography. With a minimum focusing distance of 28 cm, almost no room is too small for good photos. With the compact 14 mm Samyang wide-angle lens you can capture unique pictures. The Samyang lens suits the whole range of wide-angle photography, but especially astro and landscape photography as well as interiors. In wide-angle photography, the distinctive sense of depth leaves room for creative shooting. Thanks to the very good light intensity of F2.8, great pictures are possible even in unfavourable lighting conditions.

High resolution for outstanding optical quality. The outstanding imaging performance comes from the sophisticated optical system. It consists of 10 groups with 14 elements and thus sets new standards. The special elements deserve particular mention: 1 aspherical element, 1 hybrid aspherical element, 1 ED element and 3 HR elements. With these high-precision aspherical and high-refraction elements, various imaging errors are minimised and a crystal-clear, sharp image is produced. Especially notable are the excellent distortion correction and the excellent resolution from the centre to the edge. The fixed lens hood also prevents disturbing stray light from entering and the related lens flare.
