Rode SmartLav+ lavalier (clip-on) microphone, 3.5mm TRRS connector

The smartLav+ is a broadcast-quality wearable microphone designed for use across a wide range of film, television and broadcast scenarios, or anywhere broadcast-quality audio needs to be recorded in a discreet, portable format without the complexity and cost of additional wireless equipment.

With the smartLav+, the user simply clips the microphone onto the subject, plugs it into a smartphone or tablet with a headphone jack, and records through the RØDE Rec app for iOS devices or any other audio app of choice. The RØDE Rec app for iOS devices is recommended for recording. Using a professional-quality omnidirectional condenser capsule, the smartLav+ picks up sound equally from all sides around the microphone, providing versatility in setup and user-friendly operation. A foam pop shield is included to reduce wind noise and vocal plosives, as well as a durable mounting clip with built-in cable management. Its Kevlar-reinforced cable ensures that the microphone will never fray or break under normal use. The smartLav+ is compatible with any audio app that accepts input from a headphone connection, but it is specially designed to work perfectly with the RØDE Rec app on Apple iOS devices. RØDE Rec turns the user's iOS device into a full-featured field recorder with a wide range of equalisation settings for different recording situations, and also offers professional editing features and the ability to publish recordings directly to SoundCloud and Dropbox.

Note: When using the RØDE VXLR+ adapter, an additional SC3 adapter is required.
