The Quadralite Flex collapsible Beauty Dish is a versatile light modifier that combines portability, light construction and high-quality materials. It can be used as a beauty dish to achieve dramatic lighting, ideal for portrait, beauty and fashion photography. However, it can also be converted into a softbox to wrap the subject in soft, diffused light.

The Quadralite Flex collapsible Beauty Dish is built on a quick-folding mechanism, so it is easy to use and can be set up for work in a few seconds. One of the biggest drawbacks of a metal beauty dish is its rigidity and bulk. It cannot be folded into a bag, and it is hard to carry and store. The Quadralite Flex collapsible Beauty Dish was designed to solve these problems. It is lightweight, small when folded and easy to carry in the included bag.

The removable central diffusion disc is the main reason this excellent light modifier is so versatile. This disc sits directly above the light source and acts as a deflector that directs the light onto the reflective surface of the shell. In this configuration, the Flex collapsible Beauty Dish works just like a traditional metal beauty dish, but without its main drawbacks. However, within a few seconds it can be converted into a full-fledged softbox.

Thanks to its spherical profile, this light modifier is extremely efficient and portable. Especially in tight spaces, rooms and corridors, it delivers light exactly where it is needed. If necessary, it can also be used with a grid (available separately) for better control of the light.

The Flex collapsible Beauty Dish is based on an 8-rib octagonal frame construction, which creates attractive round catchlights in the subject's eyes.

The outer shell is made of high-quality ripstop nylon fabric for high durability, a long service life and low weight. The inside is laminated with a highly reflective silver film so that the light is spread evenly across the surface.

There are two diffuser layers made of high-quality polyester fabric. This part has been carefully selected and tested to ensure correct white balance and colour reproduction.

The main part of the frame is made of metal. Steel tension rods effectively support the whole structure and keep the spherical shape even when the lamp is tilted. The mount and the deflector are made of aluminium.

The Flex collapsible Beauty Dish is fitted with the widely used Bowens-type mount, which ensures compatibility with a wide range of studio and location lights available on the market. Thanks to separately available adapters, it can also be used with Broncolor, Profoto and Elinchrom flashes.
