Panasonic Lumix G Vario H-F 4.0/7-14 M-FT lens for m43 Micro Four Thirds cameras

• Ultra-wide angle with a 114 degree diagonal angle of view at the wide end
• 2 aspherical lenses and 4 ED lenses for outstanding optical performance
• f/4.0 aperture throughout the zoom range

Despite the impressive 7-14mm wide-angle zoom range (35mm film camera equivalent: 14-28mm), this lens is remarkably compact and light for everyday use on the go. With its wide 114 degree angle of view, it makes it easy to fit subjects in the frame even when shooting indoors where space is limited. The world looks extraordinary through the new lens, allowing you to shoot photos and video with a uniquely rich perspective.

This high-performance lens system achieves outstanding compactness by combining 16 lens elements in 12 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses and 4 ED lenses. Image resolution is high from corner to corner, even at the wide-angle setting. Thanks to large-diameter glass lens elements, it also offers F4.0 brightness throughout the zoom range.
When mounted on a Lumix G Micro System camera, this lens enables the advanced contrast AF system, which includes AF tracking and face recognition, for easier and more enjoyable shooting.

7 aperture blades with a circular aperture give the aperture a rounded shape, which creates an attractively soft effect in out-of-focus areas when shooting at larger aperture settings. It also offers a highly reliable metal mount and uses multi-coated lens elements that reduce glare and flare, further improving optical performance. The optimally designed lens hood is usable even in strong sunlight.

The Micro Four Thirds System standard made its compact size and light body possible. Despite the extremely compact size and outstanding optical performance, this lens makes full use of the capabilities of a 4/3 type image sensor, provides smoother Live View in excellent combination with the camera body, and allows the use of various unique functions, such as the contrast AF function of the DMC-GH1 and DMC-G1.
