The Manfrotto 500X Fluid Video Head is designed for mirrorless camera users who need smooth movement, quick adjustment and flexible filming control in a compact video head. It is part of the Manfrotto Bridging Technology range, and the 500X combines precise fluid movement with fast adaptation between photo and video shooting styles.

Smooth movement with flexible framing
The Fluid Drag System (FDS) provides controlled, smooth camera movement for both panning and tilting, for fluid video work and precise framing. When more camera control is needed, the built-in counterbalance system (CBS) can be engaged. It is optimised for a weight of 2.4 kg at a 55 mm centre of gravity, and helps keep the camera setup balanced and controlled with less effort from the operator. The hinged camera plate lets you switch quickly between horizontal and vertical orientation, supporting the growing demand for vertical video without interrupting your setup workflow.

Quick setup, quick adjustment
The 501PL sliding plate with side-lock top mount lets you quickly drop the camera in from above and securely fasten it directly on the head. The 500X is built for fast shoots and hybrid filming environments, allowing quick camera adjustment while keeping movement smooth and controlled throughout the shoot.
