The Leofoto LX-225CT carbon tripod is part of the Leofoto Urban tripod series.

Leofoto Urban series tripods are travel tripods whose legs can be folded back 180 degrees, hiding the tripod's centre column and head between the legs, which reduces the tripod's overall size in transport mode by about 25%.

The short centre column lets you view your surroundings from a frog's-eye perspective. A short centre column? Yes! You can replace the long centre column with a much shorter one, which is included. This can be done without any tools. The advantage, in addition to the frog's-eye view mentioned above, is increased stability. The long centre column can also be mounted upside down for unusual shooting situations.

Quick locking thanks to a special ring - locking requires only a 1/4 turn. Forget the time wasted on long unscrewing and screwing of the tripod legs. In addition, Leofoto tripod legs have interchangeable feet - spiked feet and rubber feet are included, and a wide variety of leg tips are available as an optional accessory. Leofoto has also thought about longevity and uses one-piece sliding mechanisms in the leg locking mechanism (other manufacturers use two-piece ones, which are very often the weak point of a tripod) - these sliding mechanisms provide greater durability.

Leofoto photo tripods and video tripods use 10X carbon - 10-layer carbon tubes, which give the tripod a higher load capacity, torsion resistance and vibration absorption, and are lighter than equivalent metal or wooden parts.

The centre column of the Urban series carbon tripod, with an anti-rotation groove, can be turned over by 180 degrees, which is convenient when working close to the ground. At the end of the centre column there is a screw-in hook on which to hang a bag or any other counterweight, and it also serves as a safety stop so that the centre column cannot fall out when you use it with the legs in the air.

Included is the Leofoto XB-32 ball head designed specially for the Urban series - a compact ball head with good performance, a 15kg load capacity and a weight of only 310g. The XB-32 mechanism uses a 32mm ball. It is equipped with a quick-release Arca-Swiss type plate, and at the plate mounting point and at the base of the head (for panning) there is high-precision graduation, which lets you lock the camera exactly as you intended and rotate it to exactly the angle your idea requires. The XB-32 head has a separate panning control and a lock/friction control in a single unit. The friction control lets you adjust how freely or tightly the ball mechanism moves.

At the base of the tripod there is a 1/4" thread for attaching various accessories (lights, monitors, microphones).
