The Leofoto LY-254C Mr.Y series tripods are compact, small tripods ideal for travel and for shooting at events or in museums, for example.

They are extremely light and very short when folded (only 51cm), which makes them easy to transport. The special feature is the Y-shaped center column. It reduces the overall circumference of the folded tripod (about 56mm in diameter), so the tripod can even fit into a briefcase.

Operation is very simple and intuitive - the center column is held by an ergonomic locking lever. The camera height can be adjusted using the center column, and the center column can also be turned upside down for macro or product photography. The tripod leg angle can be set at four levels (23/42/62 and 82 degrees) - the highest stability is achieved at a 42° angle. For special perspectives, the angle can be increased to 82°.

The short center column lets you view your surroundings from a frog's-eye perspective. A short center column? Yes! You can replace the long center column with a much shorter one, which is included. This can be done without any tools. Besides the frog's-eye view mentioned above, the advantage is increased stability. The long center column can also be mounted upside down for unusual shooting situations.

At the end of the center column there is a hook on which you can hang a bag or any other counterweight. In addition, this hook can be turned by 90 degrees, so that it becomes a safety lock and the center column cannot fall out when you use it upside down.

The base of the tripod has two 1/4" sockets for attaching various accessories.

Fast locking thanks to a special leg locking ring - only a 1/4 turn is needed to lock. Forget the time wasted on screwing the tripod legs for a long time. In addition, the legs of Leofoto tripods have interchangeable feet - spiked feet and rubber feet are included, and a wide variety of leg tips are available as additional accessories. Leofoto has also thought about longevity and uses one-piece sliding mechanisms in the leg locking mechanism (other manufacturers use two-piece ones, which are very often the weak point of tripods) - these sliding mechanisms provide higher durability.

Leofoto photo tripods and video tripods use 10X carbon - 10-layer carbon tubes that give the tripod higher load capacity, torsional rigidity and vibration absorption, and are lighter than comparable metal or wooden parts.
