Leofoto Mr. O LO-284C carbon fiber tripod

The Leofoto LO-284C carbon tripod is the largest and highest-performing tripod in the Leofoto Mr. O series.

Leofoto O series tripods stand out because they are equipped with a levelling centre column - a ball mechanism built into the centre column lets you change the column's angle. A levelling centre column like this lets you level the tripod much faster and more precisely on uneven ground - simply extend the legs to roughly the length you need and do the fine levelling with the centre column.

The centre column of the Mr. O series carbon tripod, with an anti-rotation groove, simply slides through the ball mechanism. The centre column can also be inverted, which is handy when working close to the ground. At the end of the centre column there is a hook for hanging a bag or any other counterweight. The hook can also be turned so that it becomes a safety lock and the centre column cannot fall out when you use it with the legs in the air. A marking shows the position in which the hook allows the centre column to be removed.

The short centre column lets you view your surroundings from a frog's-eye perspective. A short centre column? Yes! You can replace the long centre column with a much shorter one, which is included in the set. This can be done without any tools. The advantage, in addition to the frog's-eye view mentioned above, is increased stability. The long centre column can also be mounted upside down for unusual shooting situations.

The base of the tripod has a 3/8" socket for attaching various accessories.

Quick locking thanks to a special leg lock ring - locking needs only a 1/4 turn. Forget the time wasted screwing tripod legs tight. Leofoto tripod legs also have replaceable feet - spiked feet and rubber feet are included, and a wide variety of leg tips are available as additional accessories. Leofoto has also thought about longevity: the leg locking mechanism uses one-piece slide mechanisms (other manufacturers use two-piece ones, which are very often the weak point of a tripod) - these slide mechanisms provide greater durability.

Leofoto photo tripods and video tripods use 10X carbon - 10-layer carbon tubes that give the tripod higher load capacity, torsional rigidity and vibration absorption, and are lighter than comparable metal or wooden parts.
