Leofoto LY-284C+LH-30 tripod carbon with ball head

The Leofoto LY-284C+LH-30 is a Mr. Y series carbon tripod with a ball head for travel and outdoor photography.

The Y-shaped centre column allows the legs to sit closer together when folded. This reduces the space the tripod takes up in luggage while retaining centre column height adjustment.

A lever locks the centre column - press or pull it to lock or release the column. Turning the column hook across the column makes it act as a safety stop to prevent the column from falling out.

The leg angle can be set in four positions. The additional 42° position is narrower than the usual middle leg angle and is intended for more stable shooting in windy conditions. The extra-short centre column is intended for low-level work.

The leg tubes use 10-layer carbon with a rhombus weave, while the aluminium parts use 6061-T6 alloy with a hard-anodised finish. The single-piece leg shims are durable and easier to maintain. The feet can be replaced using a 1/4" thread.

The kit includes an LH-30 low-profile ball head. The large main locking knob makes it easier to secure the camera position, while the laser-engraved scale on the panning base helps control rotation precisely when shooting panoramas.

A 1/4" socket is provided for mounting additional accessories.
