NiSi Square Filter Explorer 150X170mm Medium GND8 3Stops

The NiSi Explorer 150x170 mm graduated neutral density filter (Medium GND8, 0.9) reduces light by 3 stops with a medium-fast transition. It is used to even out differences in brightness between the sky and the landscape. The upper half of the filter is dark grey and reduces the light by 3 stops, which increases colour saturation and makes clouds more visible; the lower half is completely clear.

The medium-fast transition suits scenes with hills, trees and other details that break the horizon, as well as shooting a sunrise or sunset over the sea. Explorer filters are made of special B270 tempered glass that is twice as durable as typical glass filters, with an IR coating and a Nano coating that repels dirt, water and oil. The filters do not affect the coloration of the image.
