Newell BD-200 barn doors

The Newell BD-200 barn doors are a light modifier for 18cm-diameter reflectors used in photography and video production. Four hinged leaves let you limit and direct the beam and adjust its shape and size. The black finish helps reduce unwanted glare.

The mounting system uses hooks and a small locking lever. A removable circular honeycomb grid fits into the central socket to narrow the light angle, direct illumination and increase contrast, for example by lighting the centre of the frame while keeping the edges darker. It can be used in the studio or outdoors.

• Strong hinges allow precise positioning of the four leaves.
• Includes a circular honeycomb grid and 4 circular filter frames with integrated yellow, green, blue and red effect films.
• The filter frames attach to the front using magnets and hooks. The coloured filters can be used for backgrounds and portrait lighting effects.
