No need to deal with the complexities of manual focusing, as autofocus helps capture subjects efficiently and accurately. With support for eye and face detection (specific functions depend on compatible camera models), whether for videos or photos, the convenience of autofocus ensures guaranteed success.

Effective and reliable autofocus
Thanks to the silent STM motor, accurate and fast autofocus is achieved. Even beginners get the hang of it quickly, making shooting a breeze.

HD Nano Multilayer Coating
An advanced multi layer coating technology that provides improved light transmission, reduced reflections and optimum image quality. Ideal for sharp and high contrast shots.

Large aperture
With 9 aperture blades, the lens creates round and dreamy bokeh, giving you beautiful background blurring and artistic expression. Even in complex and dynamic shooting environments, the lens performs effortlessly. The F1.7 large aperture effectively accentuates the subject and makes it stand out effortlessly. In low light conditions, this helps capture sharper and cleaner images.

Precisely right image, natural and true
The focal length, which corresponds to a full frame image of 38 mm, is midway between a standard and wide angle image and offers a wide perspective without overdoing it. It offers a natural and comfortable field of view, making it perfect for everyday street photography, ambient portraits, still life and indoor scenes.

Minimum focusing distance of 0.3m
When shooting close ups, details of the scene are accurately captured.

Reliable performance in video recording
The AF 25mm F1.7 offers robust and reliable video shooting capabilities, supported in body image stabilisation. The focus breathing effect is barely noticeable during focus transitions, resulting in a more immersive storytelling experience.
