Caruba EW 88 lens hood, black

The Caruba EW 88 is a black lens hood for the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. It shields the front element from light entering from the side, reducing flare and colour casts.

The hood extends in front of the glass to block light arriving at an angle from outside the frame, which can cause haze or coloured patches through internal reflections. Its matt interior absorbs stray light. The projecting rim also helps protect the front element against knocks and keeps the first drops of rain off the glass.
