Caruba EW 83N lens hood, black

The Caruba EW 83N is a black lens hood for the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4.0L IS USM lens. It blocks light entering from the side to reduce flare and colour cast in images.

The hood extends in front of the lens glass to intercept light from outside the frame that could otherwise reflect inside the lens and appear as haze or coloured patches. Its matte interior absorbs stray light. The projecting rim also helps protect the front element against knocks and the first drops of rain.
