Caruba EW 82 lens hood, black

The Caruba EW 82 is a black lens hood for the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4.0L IS USM lens. It blocks light entering from the side to reduce flare and colour casts in the image.

The hood extends ahead of the front element to intercept angled light from outside the frame before it enters the lens and produces haze or coloured patches. Its matte interior absorbs stray light. The projecting rim also helps protect the front element from knocks and shields it from the first drops of rain.
