Caruba ET 63 lens hood, black

The Caruba ET 63 is a black lens hood for the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS STM lens. It blocks light entering from the side to reduce flare and colour casts.

The hood extends in front of the glass to intercept light coming from outside the image area, which can otherwise cause haze or coloured patches in photographs. Its matte interior absorbs stray light. The projecting rim also helps protect the front lens element against knocks and keeps the first raindrops off the glass.
